Anunciacao Dress with wolves print

I sound so gushy, I know, but I like this Anunciacao with prints by Catalina Estrada as well. So cool prints of wolves in a sketchy dark forest.

Beautiful Anunciacao Dress

Wow, I love this dress by Anunciacao, a Brazilian label, for their Winter 2007 collection. The colors are so vibrant and the graphics by Catalina Estrada are just so capitivating. I think these will look totally cool as wall paper as well. From Anunciacao. I feel happy just looking at the illustrations, which is what beautiful things should be all about.

Naughty Tops and Accessories

Pretty tops and accessories that look oh-so-sweet until you give it a closer look. Naughty messages and so much fun! From Lochers.

Gypsy Chandelier

This aptly named chandelier is my dream lighting! Such beautiful colors! If I could ever be in love with a lighting, this is it. US$150 at Dutch by Design.

Cydwoq Liquid Shoes

Designed by Rafi Balouzian (who was orginally trained as an architect), this pair of Cydwoq (pronounced "sidewalk") shoes looks fabulous with jeans with its wooden heel and so-soothing color combination. I love its vintage look with the scratchy warm brown and red leather upper. Available at Ped.

A/X Sea Green Hoodie

My most recent hoodie purchase. From A/X with rhinestone logo. Great to wear alone or as a layering piece. Also available at Armani Exchange. The azalea pink one looks even better than the green one I have, pity it was not available at the shop where I bought it from.

Hoodies

I just love hoodies! There is just something about the hood that attracts me...maybe it's just a fascination with Little Red Riding Hood. I got the white heart jacquard hoodie overseas at US$79.99 at a sale. There are darling little white hearts all over the terry fabric! Now, it's also available at Shop Dolly Rocker for US$70.

Nostalgic Fun Pencil

Oo..when I saw this on sale at Guardian Pharmacy, a nostalgic pang swept over me. I used to play with paper dolls and paper push-out dresses long time ago (something like $0.20 for a sheet of dolls and dresses?). Now, the paper doll has been drawn onto the body of a pencil and the outfits are little pieces of reusable stick-ons. I could not resist given that it is sold for only S$1.50.

Verbarius "Most Humane" Clock

At last my blog is back in action after being locked by the robots at Blogspot for a day!

Anyway, I've been learning Russian for the past few months and this clock looks really useful in learning time-telling (although to totally justify buying this for US$158, I have to learn German, Spanish and French as well). Any other languages e.g. Latin can also be uploaded into the clock via a PC. Available from 1 November 2007 from Art Lebedev Studio. http://store.artlebedev.com/catalog/office/verbarius/

Totally sleek in a black box shape.

Juicy Couture Charms

I'm not a Juicy Couture fan however I could not resist but covet these 2 charms since last year. Finally I fulfil my wish while on a trip last month (gleeful laughter)! The cheque book charm can be opened to reveal a Banque de Juicy cheque but my favourite is still the lipstick charm which can be twisted so that the pink portion can be turned up or down! Yummy! US$50, available also at http://www.juicycouture.com/

More Harajuku Lovers Bags

Now, I'm addicted to Harajuku Lovers totes and am thinking of getting the 2 above. The first one has a portrait of Gwen Stefani in a tiara and blue get-up, sitting on a mushroom! It's in the same shape as the one I have (I have a bad habit of getting the same things in twos or threes if I really like them, albeit in different colors or prints) :p
The pink tote is smaller but has so-adorable circus prints. I don't like watching circus shows (too many unnatural movements!) although I like circus prints!

Harajuku Lovers Tote

This is my personal It bag of the moment: the first picture shows the back and the second one shows the front of a Gwen Stefani's Harajuku Lovers tote which I bought in a Virgin store in LA for about US$55. The front features one of Gwen Stefani's 4 watercolor girls, Love. The other girls are Music, Baby and Angel.

I just love this tote and have been using it almost every other day. The bag bell in Gwen Stefani's likeness is cute but the self portrait of her on the back is my favourite part of the tote!

I don't usually fancy totes because of the unstructured look of the bag but this bag has really changed my mind.

Fish Sandals

Happy National Day to all Singaporeans! Went to the SingFest concert last night at Fort Canning. Hated some parts of the show but the finale by The Pet Shop Boys were great! They started past midnight and put up a great show with all our favourite songs, dance and lighting effects. Boogied till about 2am in the morning.

Anyway, I was just looking through my shoe cabinet when this pretty pair of fish sandals in its striking purplish box caught my attention. Now that Irregular Choice is all over the local fashion magazines, I did not even realise that I have a pair in my collection. It was purchased early last year in Hong Kong and have not been worn yet (the Imelda Marcos streak in me strikes again).

The top is made of different floral and polka dotted fabrics. Even the soles of the sandals are pretty; the raised heel is in the shape of a cherry and the soles are decorated in a red and white gingham print with red roses and the following verses:

Summer may change for winter
Flowers may fade and die
But I shall ever love shoes
While I can heave a sigh

Tarina Tarantino Hello Kitty Puff Bracelet

I just got this Pink Head at 50% off the retail price on my recent trip to USA in July 2007, final price about US$56. I'm adding this to my Tarina Tarantino Hello Kitty collection. So far, I have the Hello Kitty Russian Nouveau earrings, and a ring and necklace from an older collection. I have never worn them (except for the ring, which I wore about 3 times). They are just sitting pretty (really pretty) in my jewelry box.

Hello Kitty Pink Head is designed by Tarina Tarantino, Pink Head being a reference to Tarina's own signature fuchsia hair (Tarina spots pink hair all the time!). Many celebrities have been photographed wearing Hello Kitty Pink Head, most notably Cameron Diaz and Paris Hilton.

It's probably not that cool to admit it but hey, my clandestine fascination with Hello Kitty continues.

Cherry Shoes

I bought this pair of shoes while on a business trip in June 2006 for about S$200 and have yet to wear them. Considering that the colors are quite apt, I will wear them to a National Day party this week. Of course, nationalistic pride was the last thing on my mind at the time of purchase. :D

Launch of Skip Skip Style

Finally I get around to starting a blog! As the wisemen always say, once you start, you will know how to continue the journey. I'm starting this journal as a record of beautiful accessories, clothes and any other items that catch my attention. Basically, to keep track of my lusts and wants. Who knows, many years down the road, I maybe shocked at what I actually craved for previously. Afterall, I do recall faintly that I actually loved baggy tees eons ago.
